Karachi Mayor, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, has unveiled the magnificent Hill Top Sports Arena within the sprawling expanse of the city’s beloved Hill Park, covering an impressive 62 acres and boasting state-of-the-art cricket and futsal stadium facilities. The inauguration ceremony was marked by Mayor Wahab’s spirited participation in a friendly cricket match with the local youth, igniting a sense of excitement and camaraderie at the newly opened cricket stadium.
In his address to the media following the ceremony, Mayor Wahab underscored the enduring popularity of cricket, particularly during the festive month of Ramazan, and underscored the significance of rejuvenating interest in Hill Park and other cherished recreational destinations in Karachi.
With an eye toward the future, Mayor Wahab expressed confidence in the city’s forthcoming development initiatives post-election, reaffirming his party’s unwavering dedication to the advancement and prosperity of Karachi. Encouraging citizens to engage in constructive and healthful pursuits, he lauded the ongoing endeavors of the PPP’s mayor and deputy mayor in serving the city, while envisioning a promising trajectory for Karachi’s future.
He pledged comprehensive development undertakings spanning all 25 towns of the city, including the establishment of modern sports complexes in various locales such as Kikri Ground, Gizri Football Stadium, and Star Ground Landhi.
Furthermore, Mayor Wahab referenced former President Asif Ali Zardari’s pivotal proposal of the Charter of Economy to the PTI in 2018, advocating for an end to political discord and advocating for collaborative endeavors among all political factions for the greater good of the nation.
