Karachi witnessed another controversy involving Asher Azfar Mahesar, the son of Rapid Response Force DIG Azfar Mahesar. A late-night accident in the Garden area has left many questioning the actions of those in power.
According to reports, Asher, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, was driving a government-plated vehicle when he hit a woman, leaving her seriously injured. Eyewitnesses say two police personnel with him fired shots into the air to disperse the crowd that gathered after the incident.
The injured woman was rushed to Civil Hospital for treatment, while the police took swift action by detaining Asher, his cousin Mubashir Raza, and two officers from the Rapid Response Force. They were later moved to the local police station for further investigation.

This isn’t the first time Asher Azfar Mahesar has been in the spotlight. Last year, videos went viral showing him firing weapons, including assault rifles, in public areas and even while driving. Despite these alarming incidents, senior officials dismissed the allegations as propaganda, claiming his innocence.
