Pakistan has ushered in a new era of commuting with the introduction of air taxis. Sky Wings Aviation, a private company, has pioneered this service, offering a solution to the persistent traffic congestion in the country’s major cities.
Initially, the service will be available to residents of Sindh and Balochistan. They can book air taxis from any airport, airfield, or landing strip in the region.
Launched from Karachi, the country’s financial capital, the air taxi service is a beacon of hope for those needing to travel urgently. The bustling cities of Karachi and Lahore are notorious for their long traffic queues, but this innovative service promises a congestion-free travel experience.
Pakistan, being the world’s fifth most populous country, has now joined the ranks of nations adopting air taxis. According to the CEO of Sky Wings Aviation, four air taxis are operational in the first phase, with an initial hourly rate of PKR 95,000.
The company has received inquiries from individuals interested in leisure flights, those seeking an aerial view of the port city and its surroundings, and those needing to travel urgently to other locations.
As of February 2024, reservations for the Air Taxi service are open. Anyone wishing to soar above Karachi can now book their slot and enjoy a unique commuting experience.
