The family of the Karsaz road accident victims has signed an affidavit, granting forgiveness to Natasha Danish Iqbal, the prime suspect in the tragic incident. Natasha, wife of businessman Danish Iqbal, was involved in a fatal accident on August 19 while driving a Toyota Land Cruiser on Karsaz Road, where a turning maneuver went wrong.
The accident claimed the lives of Imran Arif, 60, and his daughter, Amna Arif, instantly. Several others sustained injuries and were rushed to hospitals for emergency treatment. Natasha Danish was traveling from DHA Scheme-I to her in-laws’ residence when the incident happened.
On Friday, details of an agreement between the victim’s family and Natasha Danish emerged. The family signed an affidavit absolving her of any legal consequences. The document will be presented in court today to formalize the resolution. Natasha was initially charged with the deaths of Imran and Amna, but with the new agreement, she could see a significant shift in her legal standing.
Last week, reports confirmed that Natasha was under the influence of methamphetamine at the time of the accident. She remains in judicial custody following orders from the Karachi East court.
