In a recent development, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) cabinet has given its approval for a generous Eid package, earmarking Rs. 10,000 in cash for deserving individuals throughout the province. This decision was made during a cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in Peshawar.
Additionally, the cabinet allocated Rs. 7.6 billion for the procurement of vehicles and security equipment for the Police in the merged districts, emphasizing the government’s commitment to enhancing security measures.
Moreover, a significant agreement was reached during the meeting between the Information Technology Board and a Special Technology Zone Authority, setting the stage for the establishment of Pakistan Digital City, a crucial step towards advancing digital infrastructure in the region.
The cabinet also deliberated on crucial rules governing the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer and Members of the Executive Committee of Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization, showcasing a strategic focus on energy development initiatives.
Notably, this initiative follows the government’s earlier decision to provide cash assistance to citizens during Ramadan, with Food Minister Zahir Shah highlighting that 5 million people in KP are registered under the Ehsaas Program. Under this program, every eligible family will receive Rs. 10,000, demonstrating the government’s dedication to supporting vulnerable communities during festive occasions.
