PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Pervez Khattak, has submitted a detailed response to questionnaire sent to him by NAB.
KP CM Pervez Khattak submitted a detailed response to a questionnaire sent by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) today.
According to News sources KP chief minister Khattak submitted responses 30 questions asked by NAB over corruption. NAB had sent two questionnaires with 15 questions each to KP CM Khattak. The questionnaires had sought details on the illegal lease of a huge land under KP forest department in Malam Jabba.
The news source further said that responses submitted by CM Khattak will be thoroughly scrutinized by NAB authorities. In case of not giving satisfactory replies a reference will be prepared against the KP chief minister.
NAB had summoned Khattak previously, on April 24, after news had emerged that the KP government had illegally leased 275 acres of land in Malam Jabba, a tourist attraction in Swat district, which is under the provincial forest department.
The provincial government was authorized only to lease a mere 17-acres. 5 acres were for the construction of a hotel and 12 acres were for a chairlift project. The lease was only for 15 years. However; the KP government allegedly gave 275-acre land to a private company on lease for 33 years instead, violating regulations.
