Lahore Airport to Remain Closed from 5 AM to 8 AM Daily (Starting July 10)

Starting July 10, Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport to remain closed from 5 am to 8 am until September 10. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) took this decision because of a surge in bird activity around the airport during the monsoon season. And you know, birds and planes don’t mix well, especially when it comes to taking off and landing.

This temporary closure is all about keeping us safe by reducing the risk of bird strikes. Both runways will be off-limits during these hours, meaning it’s going to impact both domestic and international flights.

If you’re planning to fly out of Lahore during this time, make sure to double-check with your airline about your flight schedule. Be ready for possible delays because safety comes first in this situation.
