Starting July 10, Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport to remain closed from 5 am to 8 am until September 10. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) took this decision because of a surge in bird activity around the airport during the monsoon season. This temporary closure is all about keeping us safe by reducing the risk of bird strikes. Both runways will be off-limits during these hours, meaning it’s going to impact both domestic and international flights.
