The Punjab Interior Department has announced a new regulation to improve the safety and organization of livestock sales in Lahore. To curb the chaos and ensure smooth transactions, the sale of sacrificial animals on the streets and alleys has been strictly prohibited.

From now on, residents looking to purchase sacrificial animals for Eid-ul-Adha will need to visit one of the eight officially designated livestock markets. As per HW research team these authorized markets include:
- Shahpur Kanjra
- LDA City Defense Road
- And several others
The move aims to address traffic disruptions and hygiene issues caused by the informal sale of animals in residential and commercial areas. By centralizing the sales to specific locations, the government hopes to create a more organized and cleaner environment for both buyers and sellers.
