Lahore is set to witness heightened security as the federal government has approved the deployment of Pakistan Army and Punjab Rangers to ensure safety during the upcoming Tri-Nation Cricket Series featuring Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa.

The Ministry of Interior has sanctioned the deployment of security forces in Lahore from February 5 to 10 under Article 245, reinforcing the security arrangements for the high-profile matches. A company of Pakistan Army and Punjab Rangers stationed in the city to assist the civil administration.
