The Punjab government has announced a significant cut in the price of Roti. The cost of plain roti will now be a mere 14 rupees, a change that comes into effect from tomorrow.
The news was shared by none other than Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, on her Twitter handle. She expressed that the revised roti prices would range from 12 to 14 rupees across various cities. Specifically, the residents of Lahore can now buy plain roti for just 14 rupees.
As per the official notification, the new price tag of 14 rupees for roti will be applicable in cities including Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, Jhelum, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Murree, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Narowal, Sialkot, and Wazirabad.
Meanwhile, cities like Okara, Rajanpur, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Hafizabad, Kasur, Multan, Vehari, Chiniot, Hafizabad, Khanewal, Lodhran, Mandi Bahauddin, Mianwali, Multan, Sahiwal, and Khushab will see roti prices set at 13 rupees.
For the residents of Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Kot Addu, and Layyah, roti will be even more affordable, available at just 12 rupees.
