Islamabad: President Mamnoon Hussain called the National Assembly session on 13th August.

Mamnoon Hussain approved to hold National Assembly session on August 13. However, he approved the summary from Caretaker Prime Minister Nasir-ul-Mulk.

In the first National Assembly session, newly elected Members of National Assembly (MNAs) will take oath of their office. In the next step, elections will be held for Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and Prime Minister. The whole process will take about 3 to 4 days. However, the process of nomination papers, their scrutiny, and the election for three crucial posts will take time.

When the newly elected Prime Minister will take the oath, caretakers’ powers will be over and will be transfer to the newly elected government. Caretaker Minister for Information, Broadcasting and Law Barrister Ali Zafar said that according to the constitution, it was essential to call the National Assembly session before 15th August.

Fawad Chaudhry, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson, claimed that Imran Khan will get elected for PM in first round of voting.
