Manora Cantonment auctions off its coast to Dreamworld for Rs 55 million.

The Cantonment Board Manora has auctioned its coast for five years to the Dreamworld Company. It has became the highest bidder with Rs11,100,000 for 1 year payment.

CB advertises the Manora Beach Resort auction in a leading newspaper.

The Manora Beach Resort was auctioned off on a monthly rent for five years. Cantonment board officials informed that Dream World would pay Rs 925,000 a month. The contract can be extended for another five years if the performance remains satisfactory.  No complaint received from the public or higher authorities will be the main reason of extension.

According to CBM officials a proper agreement will be done with Dreamworld this month.

The resort is a cantonment board commercial plan called “Manora Beach Resort”. It includes a ground plus two storey building and four tuck shops near Varun Dev Temple.

The Beach View site has an open area of ??1,562 square yards. The infrastructure has been built by the cantonment and handed over to Dream World for further renovation.

The rent will remain the same for the first three years. Afterwards it will be increase annually. The Cantonment Board will decide how much to extend it under the powers given in the cantt Act 1924.
