Margalla Avenue motorway connection has officially been approved, bringing a major breakthrough in Islamabad’s road network. A 3.4-kilometer link road will now connect Margalla Avenue directly to the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1), significantly reducing travel time and easing traffic congestion.
According to CDA officials, this new road project will cut travel from Islamabad to M-1 Motorway from over an hour to just 15 to 18 minutes – a massive time saver for daily travelers. The project also opens new access for sectors like B-17, Faisal Hills, and Sangjani, boosting property demand and real estate value in the area.
The Margalla Avenue to M1 Motorway link is not only about shorter commutes—it also provides a powerful alternative to the overcrowded Srinagar Highway. With smoother access to the N-5 National Highway, the link is expected to support growing urban traffic needs.
This development is being executed by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and supported by the National Highway Authority (NHA). The road alignment and survey work is already complete, and construction is set to begin soon.
For residents and investors, this Margalla Avenue motorway connection update is a game-changer.
