Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the initiative initially start in select areas but planned to expand to all districts in the coming months. This expansion will coincide with the addition of more services, ensuring a broader impact across the province. She highlighted that the program not only seeks to enhance service delivery but also aims to eliminate corruption by minimizing the need for intermediaries in government offices.

In a significant step towards employment generation, the ‘Maryam Ki Dastak’ project set to create job opportunities for hundreds of thousands in the region. The program’s facilitators, known as ‘Dastak Representatives,’ will play a key role in this service delivery model.

To apply for these roles, candidates must meet specific criteria: a minimum education of Intermediate, possession of a mobile phone with internet access, a police clearance certificate, and a personal motorbike with a valid driving license. The application process for becoming a ‘Dastak Representative’ streamlined through the ‘Dastak Facilitators App,’ developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). The services offered through the ‘Maryam Ki Dastak’ initiative include issuing domicile certificates, e-stamping, and processing birth, death, and marriage certificates. Additionally, the app simplifies procedures related to property tax, token tax, motor vehicle registration, and vehicle transfers.
