544,000 Registrations on Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Portal
During a meeting of the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency, it reported that 544,000 people have successfully registered on the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar portal. This program designed to make home ownership more accessible to the citizens of Punjab, offering them a chance to own their homes at affordable prices.
Fast-Tracking the Verification Process
Maryam Nawaz instructed that the verification process of applicants’ details should expedited to ensure smooth progress. This will help ensure that eligible applicants receive timely assistance. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining accuracy while speeding up the verification process.
Private Partnership in Housing Project
In addition to the government’s efforts, Maryam Nawaz has requested a detailed plan to complete the housing project through private partnerships. This collaboration with the private sector expected to speed up construction and provide more options to applicants.
Budget Approval for Housing Project
In the same meeting, a surplus budget of 34.73 billion rupees for the current fiscal year also approved. This budget will utilized to fund various development projects, including housing initiatives under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar program.
