Maryam Nawaz’s request to teach prisoners in Adiala Jail rejected


Rawalpindi: Maryam Nawaz’s request has turned down by authorities in which she requested to teach prisoners in the jail.

Maryam Nawaz’s request to teach prisoners rejected as she is imprisoned in the solitary confinement. In addition, under the prison rules, she does not interact with other prisoners. However, legal team of Sharif family allowed meeting Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz in the jail a few days ago.

However, Maryam’s husband Capt (retd) Safdar is not facing solitary confinement. He kept with Mr. Raja Khurram Ali Khan. Khurram is former additional district and sessions judge and he along with his wife are convicted in Tayyaba Torture Case.

The Avenfield reference verdict came against Nawaz Sharif and his family. The Accountability Court sentenced the imprisonment of 10, 7, and 1 year to Nawaz, Maryam, and Captain Safdar (retd) respectively. The court also fined Nawaz Sharif and Maryam 8 million and 2 million Pounds respectively. All three leaders later moved to Adiala Jail Rawalpindi.
