Met Department Says Eid-ul-Fitr to be Likely On 16 June


ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological department has said that the moon of Eid-ul-Fitr will likely be visible on 15th of June. Eid-ul-Fitr will like be on the 16th of June, on Saturday.

Eid-ul-Fitr is being awaited by all the Muslims of the world very eagerly, specifically by children. Children usually get gift money and sweet foods on the occassion and get to wear new clothes.

Pakistan’s Meteorological Department has said that the Eid moon is expected to be sighted on 15th of June, on Friday. It also stated that the chances of the moon being visible on 14th June is highly unlikely. So the holy day of Eid-ul-Fitr is going to be celebrated on 16th of June, on Saturday around Pakistan.

The holy month of Ramadan started on the 17th of May all over Pakistan. Saudia Arabia and United Arab Emirates also had first day of Ramadan on 17th of May.

The Australian National Imams Council had also declared that Ramadan would begin on May 17.
