From 28 November 2025, “milk price in Karachi” has officially increased under orders from the Commissioner. The new “Commissioner Karachi price list” sets the retail rate at Rs 220 per litre, up from Rs 200.
Price breakdown under new Commissioner Karachi price list
- Dairy farmer (ex‑farm): Rs 200 per litre.
- Wholesaler (wholesale): Rs 208 per litre.
- Retailer (retail): Rs 220 per litre.
These fixed rates aim to regulate supply and distribution under the Sindh Essential Commodities Act.
Why The Increase In Milk Price In Karachi
Dairy farmers and wholesalers pressed for a hike. They pointed to rising costs of cattle feed, transportation, and other production inputs. After consultation meetings with stakeholders and consumer groups, “Commissioner Karachi” approved this price update.
Conditions set by the Commissioner Karachi price list
The price increase comes with conditions. All suppliers and retailers must follow hygiene and quality guidelines. Retail shops must display the “Commissioner Karachi price list.” Suppliers gave written commitments to avoid quality lapses and hoarding.
