Missing Child from North Nazimabad Family Park Found After Police Raid

Muhammad Anas, a three year old boy, has been returned to his family after a high profile kidnapping in Fateh Family Park, North Nazimabad, Karachi. A breakthrough phone call enabled police to monitor the child in Liaquatabad. The rescue mission resulted in a major administrative change in the Karachi Police department as police are investigating the suspects.

3-Year-Old Muhammad Anas Recovered in Karachi

The disappearance of young Muhammad Anas from Fateh Family Park in the North Nazimabad shook the locality. The boy disappeared on January 11, 2026, when he was playing with his family in block F near Ziauddin Chowrangi. A case was registered at the Haidery Police Station immediately.

CCTV Footage Leads the Investigation

Investigators relied heavily on CCTV footage from the park’s security cameras. The video shows a woman carrying Anas in her arms. A man wearing a red jacket walks closely beside her. This footage circulated quickly on social media and helped the police identify the movement of the suspects.

These visual leads became the foundation for the technical search. The authorities used these clips to map out the escape route of the alleged abductors.

The breakthrough happened when the family received a phone call from the people holding Anas. During this contact, the abductors reportedly allowed a video call. They claimed the abduction of Muhammad Anas from Fateh Park was a mistake.

The police were provided with these communication details by the family. This enabled the experts to trace the signal to a particular house at Liaquatabad area.

Police teams responded to the information on the phone and organized a targeted operation in Liaquatabad. They rescued Anas and criminalised the individuals who were present. The child went back to his parents after doing legal formalities.

It was also a case that led to administrative changes. DSP Kamal Naseem that led the case was relieved of his position. It is reported that some other SHOs and DSPs were sent or put off duty after handling the incident.

The police are yet to discover how the kidnappers got the personal phone number of the family. They are also attempting to find out whether the suspects belong to an organized group or not. At present, it is all about safe retrieval of Muhammad Anas and justice by the ongoing investigations.
