KARACHI: MQM-P factions are going to hold a joint jalsa in Liaquatabad’s Tanki Ground on May 5th. This seems like an apparent effort to stop the rival parties from gaining foothold in MQM strongholds.
MQM-P PIB leader Farooq Sattar along with MQM-P Bahadurabad’s leaders announced a joint jalsa at Liaquatabad on May 5th. The parties have temporarily made a truce for this rally to display a show of power in response to PPP’s recent gathering.
Farooq Sattar while addressing the media said that both the parties are going to stop other parties from victimizing Karachi. He said the this jalsa will be very big and historic, and more good news can be expected soon.
MQM-P Bahadurabad Leader Khalid Maqbool said that rival parties did not expect us both factions to join hands. This has baffled them, but it was necessary for “Muhajirs” are being mistreated and this cause has joined them.
However; both parties have not yet mentioned to become one again. This jalsa is expected to be a response to Bilawal’s PPP gathering in Liaquatabad. Bilawal had claimed that MQM-P was behind the wave of terror and the mutilated sacked bodies “Bori Bandh Lash” era of Karachi. He had called MQM “Musataqil Qaumi Museebat” and said that Karachi had rejected their politics.
