Wifaqul Madaris Al-Arabia, under the chairmanship of Mufti Taqi Usmani, made several important decisions in a council meeting held on Wednesday.
The council declared that online education systems will not be recognized in seminaries affiliated with Wifaqul Madaris Al-Arabia. Reports were also sought from institutions where online education in seminaries had been introduced.
Wifaqul Madaris decisions also included a clear stance on Sharia-related movements. The body stated that taking up arms in the name of Sharia against the state will not be acceptable. It emphasized that only a peaceful movement is a legitimate way to implement Islamic law in Pakistan.
The council further resolved that students shaving their beards will not be eligible to appear in examinations under Wifaqul Madaris Al-Arabia. This decision was highlighted as part of the broader code of conduct for students.
According to the new Wifaqul Madaris rules, office-bearers will not release videos or photos of their gatherings and events. This step was announced to maintain discipline and uniformity across affiliated seminaries.
Under Mufti Taqi Usmani’s leadership, the Wifaqul Madaris council is actively reviewing the policies related to seminaries across Pakistan. The decisions on online education, student examinations, and media use indicate a future roadmap for affiliated institutions.
