Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, has announced that thousands of new jobs will be provided in the coming days. Speaking at an event in Badin, the Chief Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to fulfilling promises made to the public and ensuring the development of the region.
Key Highlights:
- Job Creation Post-Elections: The government began its job provision initiative following the local government elections. Over 16,000 jobs above Grade 16 have already been provided.
- Legal Hurdles: Shah noted that a particular party opposed to Sindh’s development obtained a stay order, causing delays. However, the government is determined to fulfill all promises made to the people.
- Flood Prevention Measures: Restoration of old natural water pathways from the LBOD spinal RD has been completed. This will prevent the lands of Badin, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, and Nawabshah from flooding.
- LBOD Project Enhancements: Originally a project from the 1980s by WAPDA, the LBOD has undergone modifications to restore water pathways. These changes are expected to significantly benefit the agricultural regions.
- Agricultural Development: Under the direction of Bilawal Bhutto, a drain and underpass are being constructed from Sanghar to Umerkot. The initiative aims to bolster the agricultural economy and address past shortcomings highlighted during the 2022 floods.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah emphasized the government’s dedication to Sindh’s development. “We will fulfill all our promises to the people and meet them with success,” he asserted. He also congratulated Jam Khan Shoro for his swift action in addressing flood prevention measures.
