Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) filed Musharraf high treason case. The party said that, Pervez Musharraf did military coup d’état against Nawaz Sharif’s government and broke Article 6 of constitution.
However, Mohammad Akram Sheikh, head of the prosecution, submitted his resignation a month ago. He sent the resignation letter to interior secretary. However, he displayed his inability to deal the case after the end of Nawaz Sharif’s government. Mohammad Akram Sheikh was deployed as head of prosecution in Musharraf high treason case by PML-N government in November 2013.
Pervez Musharraf was arraigned for the situation in March 2014 after he showed up under the steady gaze of the court and rejected all charges. On March 18, 2016, he left Pakistan for Dubai for medicinal treatment after his name was expelled from the ECL on the requests of the Supreme Court. A couple of months after the fact, the Special Court had pronounced him an offender and requested the seizure of his property attributable to his no-appear.
