NAB arranged helicopters to arrest Nawaz Sharif and Maryam from airport


Lahore: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arranged two helicopters to arrest Nawaz Sharif and Maryam from the airport.

NAB arranged 2 helicopters to arrest PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif and her daughter Maryam Nawaz from the airport. However, one will be positioned at new Islamabad International Airport while other at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore. Both have decided to come Pakistan on tomorrow, July 13.

According to sources, NAB will arrest Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz as soon as they land on airport. In addition, the helicopter that Nawaz used as the PM will be used for his transportation to jail. A 16 member team including nine NAB officers will arrest both leaders.

Last week, Accountability Court-I Judge Mohammad Bashir announced the Avenfield reference verdict on Friday after several delays. Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and Capt (Retd) Safdar sentenced 10, 7, and 1 year imprisonment respectively.

Maryam Nawaz later said that she and her father would return to Pakistan on Friday before the 10-day deadline for an appeal against the decision ends. However, NAB officials said that they have alreadyobtained the necessary arrest warrants in this regard and will arrest the duo when they land.

In addition, Supreme Court gave the extension in Nawaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar’s references after the Accountability Court’s judge Mohammad Bashir requested for the extension in deadline. However, he asked the apex for the extension in references against former PM and his family. CJP Saqib Nisar and Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan heard the extension petition.
