National Accountability Bureau arrested Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi from Toll Plaza.
PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is arrested by NAB in LNG case on Thursday (today). According to NAB, he has a connection with the LNG case and he is accused of commission of the offence of corruption and corrupt practices under National Accountability Ordinance, 1999.
Before arrest, the former Prime Minister was travelling to Lahore so he can attend the news conference by Shehbaz Sharif. The senior PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal also confirmed Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s arrest.
Shahid Khaqan is accused of handing over Rs 220 billion tender to a company in which he also has shares. His name is also included in the Exit Control List (ECL).
