NAB recuperates Rs2.20 billion from corrupt elements


The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) deposited 2200 million rupees in the national exchequer in the wake of recuperating these from corrupt elements in the most recent nine months. As per the NAB, it had captured 330 individuals in various cases.

The NAB has filed more than 1200 corruption references in respective accountability courts in different parts of the country. The accountability bureau is also planning to file applications for early hearing of all the references under trial.

Earlier on July 20, the NAB had ordered an inquiry on charges of corruption against former Sindh Assembly speaker Agha Siraj Durrani and Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar.
