Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has been summoned by the National Accountability Bureau for being shareholder of a private company on December 13.
PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari has also been asked to appear before the NAB.
Sources said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is a shareholder in a company, Park Enclave.
NAB summons Bilawal, Zardari, however, Bilawal Bhutto is unlikely to appear and will instead be represented by his legal counsel Farooq H Naek, sources added.
Senior PPP leader and former senator Farhatullah Babar, confirming the news, termed the step as part of NAB’s political agenda.
Farhatullah Babar said such steps only go to expose NAB’s political objectives.
Farhatullah Babar added that the corruption cases in which Bilawal Bhutto has been summoned by NAB are in the timeline when the PPP chairman was merely a year old.
NAB summons Bilawal, Zardari in Private company investigation, however, earlier, Bilawal was also sent a “tough” questionnaire this week by a joint investigation team in a fake accounts case, in which his father, Zardari, and aunt, Faryal Talpur, have also appeared several times.
