In a groundbreaking move, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has revolutionized its service delivery for urgent Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs), making it faster and more accessible to citizens without any additional costs.
Previously, the waiting period for Urgent Identity Cards stretched to 23 days, causing inconvenience to applicants. However, NADRA has now slashed this processing time to a remarkable 15 days, ensuring quicker issuance of essential ID cards.
The announcement came directly from a NADRA official, signaling positive changes for individuals in need of prompt ID card services. Under the new system, applicants can submit urgent requests at any NADRA office and expect their ID cards within the expedited 15-day timeframe.
This enhancement aligns with NADRA’s commitment to improving efficiency and customer satisfaction in ID card processing. Alongside the reduced processing time, NADRA has also updated its fee structure. Normal ID cards now cost Rs750, while urgent ID cards incur a fee of Rs1500. For those opting for executive ID cards, the fee stands at Rs2500.
These transparent fees reflect the quality of services offered and ensure a smooth application process for all applicants. By streamlining operations and introducing faster processing times, NADRA aims to modernize its service delivery and provide a more convenient experience for citizens obtaining CNICs.
This initiative not only marks a significant milestone in NADRA’s service enhancements but also highlights its dedication to meeting the evolving needs of Pakistan’s population efficiently and transparently.
