Islamabad: Names of former PM Nawaz Sharif’s sons Hassan and Hussain Nawaz are placed on blacklist by authorities.
Hassan and Hussain Nawaz are now on blacklist and they cannot travel on their Pakistani passports. Earlier, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) requested to place their names on Exit Control List (ECL) on which the interim cabinet did not pass a decision.
According to NAB, another request is submitted in Immigration and Passport Directorate, after which passports of Hassan and Hussain Nawaz are placed on blacklist.
Earlier, The government approached Interpol for issuance of red warrant against Hussain and Hassan Nawaz. Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) also contacted headquarters of International Criminal Police Organization/International Police (ICPO-Interpol) on behalf of the Government of Pakistan. However, the headquarter is located at Lyon, France.
The accountability court issued red warrant against Hussain and Hassan Nawaz in the Avenfield Reference. In addition, judge also ordered to immediately present both of them before the court.
