Nasir-ul-Mulk Appointed Caretaker Cabinet to Take Oath Today


ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Cabinet members appointed by Justice (r) Nasir-ul-Mulk to take oath today, Tuesday, at President House.

The cabinet members are selected by the caretaker PM, Nasir-ul-Mulk, who took oath on the 1st of June. President Mamnoon Hussain will administer oath to the caretaker cabinet members.

The oath taking ceremony is supposed to be held by 11:00 AM at President House.

While talking to the media briefly after the oath taking ceremony, caretaker PM Justice (r) Mulk said he will form cabinet after discussion. He said that the cabinet members will be decided by him after a little consultation soon.

Justice (r) Mulk said that the cabinet will be concise and will consist of only a few members.

Speaking about the elections to the media, he said that the caretaker PM will fulfill responsibility. He said that the elections will be held on time and that he will do what he was chosen for. He also added that the elections will be transparent.

Justice (r) Nasir-ul-Mulk was chosen by the former Prime Minister Khaqan Abbasi and Former leader of Opposition Khursheed Shah. Both of them had around six meetings, the prior five ended in a deadlock, however; a sixth made a breakthrough.

The name of Justice (r) Mulk was hailed by all the parties and they welcomed him as the caretaker PM. All political parties including PTI, PPP and PML-N had claimed selecting of a name for interim post a democratic victory.

The PML-N government had stepped down on 31st May after fulfilling their constitutional term.
