Islamabad: Nawaz Sharif is to appear in Accountability court today for Evan Field Reference Case hearing. The hearing will be conducted by the Accountability court Judge Muhammad Bashir, where along with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif; his daughter Maryam Nawaz and Captain Rt. Safdar will be present in the Court as well. The JIT who has submitted the case is being lead by Wajid Zia.
Evan Field Reference Case Details
Nawaz Sharif is being represented by his lawyer Khwaja Haris, while Maryam Nawaz will be represented by Amjad Parvez. This will be the ninth hearing of this case in the Accountability court, where there have been many heated arguments between the NAB prosecutor and lawyer of Nawaz Sharif, Khwaja Haris. The court also recently commented Khwaja Haris’s action of repeating the same question again against JIT lead Wajid Zia, asking him not to intimidate the witness.
According to several reports, four flats were purchased by Nielsen and Nescoll companies, and Hussain Nawaz was later found out to have had ownership of it, he had admitted it himself in a statement.
The report added that another flat, 12-A, which is in Evan Field House, was purchased by Flagship Investment Ltd on January 29, 2004. Flagship Investment Ltd documents show that Hassan Nawaz is the company director. The government record of companies doing business in the United Kingdom had shown that Hassan Nawaz had founded the Flagship Investment Ltd in 2001. The address provided by Hassan Nawaz for the purpose of registration of the company was that of his Park Lane apartment.
Later on in hearings of the London Flat Case it was found out that Nawaz Sharif was the true owner of these properties. Today is going to be the case’s ninth hearing in the Accountability Court. Nawaz Sharif and family has faced strong opposition and criticism regarding the flats by PTI and PPP for this case after Panama papers leak.
