Nawaz’s grandsons released by London Police after brief detention on Friday.
Junaid Safdar, son of Maryam Nawaz and Zikriya Hussain, son of Hussain Nawaz were earlier arrested by London police due to their fight with PTI supporters outside Avenfield flats.
The verbal argument between the PML-N opponents and Junaid Safdar, alongside Zakariya Hussain, quickly turned into a physical fight moments before the Met Police arrived to break up the fight.
London police authorities detained the Junaid Safdar for punching a young man and Zakariya had also been arrested.
Metropolitan Police remarked that one person received minor injuries in the incident. Further investigations are underway.
Maryam Nawaz’s son had claimed that the PTI protesters, who were protesting outside the Avenfield House, since a few days, had tried to attack him and threw an umbrella on him as well.
In a video of the incident, one protester can be seen trying to attack the Sharif grandsons, with Junaid Safdar bowing out and saving himself in time.
A verbal fight ensues again but, in the meantime, London police arrive.
The injured man is said to be hailing from Pakistan, Met Police said. He was moved to the hospital.
Since Avenfield verdict is out, protesters have camped outside the Avenfield flats and engaged in a slogan-based face-off with the PML-N supporters.
