National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) affirmed its sixth new NADRA mega centre in Karachi. This is a contemporary plant which will cater to more than 6 million people residing in the Model Colony, Malir. The 1.5-acre land is to handle documentation of more than 3,000 citizens a day, thus cutting short in wait times in the city.
Major Expansion Confirmed in Malir
NADRA has officially announced the establishment of its sixth NADRA mega centre in Karachi. The authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the Model Colony Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) yesterday. This agreement secures 1.5 acres of land in Malir for the project.
The modern center will serve at least 6 million residents from both Korangi and Malir districts. It will operate with a minimum of 30 counters. Officials estimate the center will facilitate over 3,000 citizens every day, all under one roof.
Timeline and Services at the New NADRA Mega Centre
Expect the facility to become operational within the next eight months. Model Town Chairman Zafar Ahmed Khan confirmed the center’s timeline. NADRA’s Director General, Aamir Ali Khan, confirmed the facility will be fully operational within one year. Services will cover essential documentation like CNIC, B-Form processing, and even arms licenses.
Mr. Khan acknowledged the challenges posed by the modern digital era. He stated that while technology and artificial intelligence are key, cybercrime risks increase. NADRA remains fully equipped with necessary security measures to protect citizen data from modern threats and breaches. This new NADRA mega centre in Karachi is a step toward secure, large-scale service delivery.
