In a significant stride towards improving transportation for the residents of Karachi, the Peoples Bus Service is set to roll out 30 new buses on the city’s roads starting today. This initiative aims to provide more efficient and reliable commuting options for the public.
The inauguration ceremony, scheduled for today, will be officiated by Sindh Chief Minister Justice Retired Maqbool Baqar. The event will take place near Mazar-e-Quaid, where the newly acquired buses will be officially introduced to the public.
Expressing enthusiasm about the development, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab revealed, “30 hybrid diesel buses are joining the existing fleet of the Peoples Bus Service in Karachi, enhancing our city’s public transportation capabilities.” Additionally, he announced that 50 electric buses will soon be operational, contributing to a more sustainable and eco-friendly transit system.
The efforts of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh Government in expanding and modernizing public transportation are evident through these initiatives. As Karachi embraces these new additions to its bus fleet, residents can look forward to a more convenient and eco-conscious commuting experience.
