No Loadshedding Announced During Sehri and Iftar Timings in Karachi

In a recent meeting held in Karachi, Sindh’s Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah, issued directives to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the holy month of Ramadan. The meeting, chaired by Shah, was attended by key officials including the Mayor of Karachi, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, IG Police, Secretary Finance, Additional IG Police, and Commissioner Karachi. Commissioners and DIGs from other divisions also joined the meeting via video link.

Shah emphasized that there should be no power outages during Sehri and Iftar times across the province. He instructed K-Electric, HESCO, and SEPCO to ensure a robust electricity system in their respective areas throughout Ramadan.

In addition to addressing power issues, Shah announced a substantial Ramadan package worth 22.5 billion rupees. As part of this initiative, cash assistance of 5000 rupees will be provided to 60 percent of the province’s population during Ramadan. This move is expected to bring relief to approximately 4.5 million low-income families in the region.
