PESHAWAR: Justice (r) Dost Muhammad Khan was administered oath by Governor KP as Caretaker CM KP Today.
Justice (r) Dost Muhammad Khan was finalized as the caretaker CM of KP in a meeting of Election Commission. Governor KP Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has administered the oath to him as the caretaker CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the oath taking ceremony, former CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak was also in attendance. While PML-N provincial president Muhammad Amir Muqam was also present along with others.
Justice (r) Dost Muhammad Khan ensured fair and transparent elections while talking to the press after the ceremony. He said that he will uphold the mission given to him by Election Commission of Pakistan.
The caretaker CM said that the elections will be held as per scheduled. He added that he will make efforts to give maximum relief to the people in his brief term on the post.
Talking about his cabinet, the interim CM said that his cabinet will be concise and the members will be chosen on merit.
The decision was finalized as the caretaker CM of KP by ECP after talks between the former government and opposition failed. Even the parliamentary committee formed to decide on the name of caretaker CM KP could make a decision either.
