In a recent move by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices have hiked, creating concerns among domestic and commercial consumers in Pakistan. The price adjustment, effective from November 30, 2023, sees an increase of Rs3.82 per kg for domestic users and Rs45 per kg for commercial consumers.
As per the official notification, the revised LPG price for domestic consumers set at Rs254.86 per kg, marking a notable rise from the previous month’s Rs251.04 per kg. This adjustment translates to an increase of Rs45 for an 11.8 kg domestic LPG cylinder, now priced at Rs3,007, up from Rs2,962.
Commercial users will also bear the brunt of the hike, with a 45.4 kg commercial LPG cylinder now costing Rs11,578, reflecting an increment of Rs173 from the previous price of Rs11,405.
OGRA’s monthly price determinations influenced by international market prices and the exchange rate of the Pakistani rupee.
