The earthquake in Karachi once again stirred panic among residents, as mild tremors were felt in multiple areas during the early hours of Monday. According to the residents of Landhi and Korangi area, the Earthquake Karachi was felt at 10:25 AM, sending residents of Malir, Landhi, and Korangi rushing out of their homes in fear.
Witnesses reported that as soon as the tremors hit, people recited Kalma Tayyaba and gathered outside their homes, concerned for their safety. This recent activity has once again sparked public anxiety over Karachi’s growing seismic sensitivity.
The Seismological Center confirmed previously that the epicenter of the quake was near, with a depth of 10 kilometers. Although no immediate damage or injuries were reported, the recurrence of these tremors has led to discussions among experts about Karachi’s earthquake preparedness and fault line activity.
It’s worth noting that this is not an isolated incident. Just a day earlier, on Sunday at 5:33 PM and on Monday at 1:06 AM, a separate quake measuring 3.6 magnitude was also felt in Karachi. That earthquake had the same epicenter near Quaidabad and was slightly stronger in intensity, further raising concerns among citizens and local authorities.
Experts urge residents to stay informed and follow emergency protocols in case of stronger aftershocks. While the tremors were light, the frequency of seismic activity in the region has become a growing concern for both citizens and geologists alike.
