Pakistan Celebrates Eid ul Fitr with Religious Traditions

Eid ul Fitr is being celebrated across Pakistan with religious zeal and fervor on Saturday.

Eid prayers were offered at mosques and Eid gahs in all cities and towns of the country. Special prayers were offered for the prosperity of the country. Religious scholars highlighted the significance of Eid ul Fitr in sermons.

Eid ul Fitr greetings

President Mamnoon Hussain and caretaker prime minister Nasir ul Mulk greeted nation on the occasion of Eid in a special message.


Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa praised martyrs and soldiers who enabled the nation to celebrate Eid peacefully.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif also extended Eid wishes to the nation. Nawaz Sharif stressed on not to forget those who gave their lives for the nation. He also appealed for special prayers for the health of his ailing wife, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.

PTI chief Imran Khan also send special wishes to the nation on Eid. He also asked the nation to pray that the nation is able to celebrate the next Eid in Naya Pakistan.

Eid ul Fitr in Karachi

Eid prayers in Karachi started from 6 AM on wards. Special attention was given to security arrangements to maintain a peaceful environment in the city. Sindh Rangers personnel were deployed outside mosques and other places of worship.

Karachi citizens can contact the Rangers on the helpline 1101 in case they are forced to pay Zakat and Fitra.
