Pakistan Condemns Al Udeid Air Base Attack in Qatar, Offers to Mediate Between US and Iran

Pakistan has officially responded to the Al Udeid Air Base attack in Qatar by expressing deep concern over the escalating security situation in the region. The statement from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs follows the June 23 missile strike on the U.S. military facility in Doha, claimed by Iran as retaliation for U.S. attacks on its nuclear infrastructure.

According to Iranian authorities, the strike—named Operation Glad Tidings of Victory—involved six to fourteen ballistic missiles targeting the Al Udeid Air Base. Qatar’s Ministry of Defence confirmed that air defense systems intercepted all missiles, with minimal reported impact.

Pakistan denounced the infringement of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Qatar, underlining the necessity to comply with international law. Urged both parties to exercise restraint and not to escalate the conflict. The government reaffirmed its stand on the use of diplomacy and peaceful ways of resolving conflicts.
