Pakistan Election 2018: ECP Guides PM about Ongoing Poll Preparations


Islamabad: Justice (retd) Nasirul Mulk, Interim Prime Minister, organized a high level meeting in Islamabad today. The aim was to review preparation for the Pakistan Election 2018.

Pakistan Election 2018 will be held on 25 July. Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), chief secretaries, chief ministers, and police IGs from all 4 provinces attended the meeting. According to sources, ECP officials informed interim PM Nasirul Mulk and other key persons about the arrangements up till made for the General Election 2018. However, appellate tribunals are hearing the appeals against the verdicts of their respective ROs.

In addition, PM Nasirul Mulk was guided about the security preparations up till made for the Pakistan Election 2018. The security plan for sensitive polling stations was also discussed as ECP officials provided security arrangements report to the PM. However, PM Nasirul Mulk ordered that all issues should be resolved so upcoming elections can be held on time.
