Excessive rain in Pakistan has caused serious trouble for rural areas affecting more than 30 million people. The government had declared an emergency that has made numerous homeless and several killed under the monsoon spell of 2022.
According to NDMA (National Disaster Management Authority) report that said rain has killed around 900 people. As per the officials, the flood recorded of this year compared to 2010 is more devastating. Around more than 2000 people are killed while a fifth of the country was under water. Both provincial and federal government is seeking help from the international community to haste relief funds operations.
Following is the list of a few governmental and NGO wings open for donation.
Prime Minister�s Relief Fund Account
The government of Pakistan has initiated a flood relief fund that will provide relief and rehabilitation to the affected homeless people. The program will accept a donation from national and international sources.
Donate Rs 10 by sending an SMS on 9999
To aid the rain-affected people, PTA ( Pakistan Telecommunication Authority ) has set up easy relief funds to donate under the PM relief program by typing �fund� in the SMS and sending it to 9999 charging Rs 10.
Balochistan CM opens flood relief account
The devastating situation in Baluchistan has taken more than 1000 lives. The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has made a donation relief program that can be made to any branch of the State Bank of Pakistan and the National Bank of Pakistan.
Provincial govt to set up Sindh Bank
The Government of Sindh has also initiated an account titled �Sindh Flood Relief Fund� in Sindh Bank.
