Pakistan India to Participate Together in Military Drills for First Time

Pakistani and Indian armed forces will be conducting military drills together for the first-time ever.

According to a report from Indian newspaper, India is going to participate in military drills in which Pakistani armed forces will also be a part of.

Peace Mission 2018 is a part of Shanghai Cooperation Organization that will focus on counter-terrorist operations. Eight Countries including Pakistan, India, China, and Russia will participate in the military exercises at Russia’s Ural Mountains.


Indian Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman made an official announcement of their participation in this mission. This will mean both the armed forces of Pakistan and India will be side by side in a mock-up exercise against terrorists.

Pakistan and India have also worked together as peace keepers in a United Nations mission before.
