For this Pakistan has offered many Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) since then. One of them being the 2004 Pakistan-India Joint Statement which recognized both countries’ nuclear capabilities. Pakistan is always ready to offer more for avoiding risks of an arms race in the region.
While Pakistan is always moving ahead for maintaining peaceful relations, its also confident in its nuclear capabilities. The statement said that nuclearization of the region should also be of concern to the international community.
Pakistan’s security of its nuclear resources has been internationally recognized. While the country’s nuclear harnessing capabilities are also up-to date.
