Pakistan issued a demarche to India over disrespectful remarks by two BJP officials

In an ongoing situation in India, Two BJP leaders have passed derogatory remarks about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). As per the response, Pakistan has taken strict action against the two senior leaders by issuing a demarche to the Indian Charge d’ Affaires in Islamabad. 

The Indian Ministry has expressed concerns over the rising communal violence and hatred in India against Muslims. A statement from a ministry said that the Muslims are highly being targeted by the radical Hindu mobs that are the cause of an increase in the anti-Muslim sentiments among the people. The FO urged the government to take strict action against the senior leaders and condemn the act as soon as possible.

Pakistan urged to call upon the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to play a crucial role in halting such incidents inspired by Hindutva. Further, they have also asked the Indian authorities to prevent acts of human rights mishap. 

Following the suit, ISPR has always condemned the disrespectful remark made by BJP officials and held them accountable for blasphemy. A tweet from the official account of ISPR, said, “hurtful and indicates an extreme level of hate against Muslims”.
