The UAE President’s visit to Pakistan reached its historic peak. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) landed at Nur Khan Airbase on Friday, marking his first official state visit. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Asim Munir led the high-level reception on the tarmac.
The atmosphere felt electric. Pakistani JF-17 jets escorted the President’s plane through the clouds. On the ground, the government launched a soulful welcome song titled “Ahlan wa Sahlan, Marhaba” to honor the guest. This anthem celebrates the “Iron Brotherhood” and played across national media as a 21-gun salute echoed through the capital.
Strengthening the UAE President Visit to Pakistan
The visit isn’t just about optics; it’s about the economy. Both leaders moved quickly into substantive talks. They focused on a $10 billion investment roadmap for energy, IT, and infrastructure. The partnership provides much-needed backing to the fiscal recovery of Pakistan.
The UAE President visit to Pakistan indicates a colossal trade association. The bilateral trade has gone past 10 billion a year. Moreover, the Pakistani remittances in the UAE (1.8 million) are likely to reach over $7 billion this year. These statistics demonstrate that the relationship between Abu Dhabi and Islamabad never was stronger.
The day ended by making a commitment towards the stability of the region and stronger defence relationship. This visit will be a new beginning in the Gulf-Pakistan relationship in the years 2026 and later on.
