Pakistan Ranks Fourth Worst on Q3 2023 World’s Passport Rankings

In the latest Q3 2023 passport rankings released by the Henley Passport Index, Pakistan’s passport has ranked as the fourth worst in the world. With a visa-free score of only 33, the passport holders from Pakistan can access only a limited number of destinations without obtaining a prior visa. The country’s passport is outranked only war-torn nations, namely Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan. In stark contrast, Singapore has emerged as the country with the world’s strongest passport, allowing its citizens visa-free access to an impressive 192 destinations out of 227.

According to the Henley Passport Index, Pakistan’s passport stands at the 100th spot out of 103 ranked countries. With a meager visa-free score, Pakistani passport holders face considerable restrictions while traveling abroad. The low ranking indicates the limited diplomatic agreements and international relations that allow passport holders to enjoy visa-free access to other countries.

Singapore has secured the top spot on the list with its citizens enjoying visa-free access to an astounding 192 countries. Following closely are Germany, Italy, and Spain, sharing the second position with 190 countries accessible without a prior visa. Countries like Austria, Finland, France, Japan, Luxembourg, South Korea, and Sweden tied at third place with visa-free access to 189 countries.

The United States ranks 8th with a visa-free score of 184, while the United Kingdom secures the 4th spot on the rankings. Turkey stands at the 50th position, Qatar at 52nd, Maldives at 57th, Oman at 60th, China at 63rd, and Morocco at 73rd spot.

The Henley Passport Index determines rankings based on the number of destinations passport holders from different countries can access without a visa. The index compiles official data from the International Air Transport Association to create an objective and reliable ranking system.
