A multi-storey building in Karachi’s Kharadar area experienced a roof collapse on Monday, prompting an emergency response from rescue teams. The Kharadar building collapse incident, occurred near M. Suleman Mithai Wala, where multiple floors and roofs of the structure gave way.
According to the Edhi Foundation, rescue volunteers reached the site shortly after receiving reports of the Kharadar roof collapse. The fire brigade also responded with a snorkel to assist in the evacuation process. Rescue operations are currently underway, with teams working to safely evacuate residents from the affected flats.

As of now, no casualties have been reported. However, rescue efforts hindered by the narrow streets surrounding the building, making access difficult for emergency vehicles and equipment.

The building collapse in Kharadar has raised concerns about structural safety in densely populated areas of Karachi. Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the collapse, and an investigation expected to follow once the rescue operation concludes.

Emergency services remain on high alert as the situation develops. Updates will follow as more information becomes available regarding the condition of the building and the residents affected by the collapse.
