Whether residing inland or overseas, applicants have the option to renew their passports, even if there are 12 months or less left before the expiration date. This initiative aims to provide a convenient solution for individuals with expiring passports, allowing them to obtain a machine-readable passport with extended validity for either 5 or 10 years.

Updated Passport Renewal Fee Structure (Effective September 2023):
MRP Fee for 05 YEARS Validity:
- Normal (36-Pages): Rs.3,000/- + Rs.1,000 Service Charges = Rs.4,000/-
- Urgent (36-Pages): Rs.5,000/- + Rs.6,000/- = Rs.11,000/-
- Normal (72-Pages): Rs.5,500/- + Rs.6,500/- = Rs.12,000/-
- Urgent (72-Pages): Rs.9,000/- + Rs.10,000/- = Rs.19,000/-
- Normal (100-Pages): Rs.6,000/- + Rs.7,000/- = Rs.13,000/-
- Urgent (100-Pages): Rs.12,000/- + Rs.13,000/- = Rs.25,000/-
These fees are inclusive of taxes and cover various categories to cater to the diverse needs of passport holders.
