PDA Board of Directors decided to rename Gandhara Valley City as the New Peshawar City. The decision has taken in the 7th board meeting.
The Board of Directors of Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has set up Project Management Unit (PMU) to implement the proposed project on an expeditious basis. It has also renamed Gandhara Valley City to New Peshawar City. PMU to work at Gandhara Valley City project on a fast track basis.
It also approved the establishment of a Service Delivery Unit intending to enhance the capacity of PDAs and improve the delivery of services.
The CM KPK directed the PDA to immediately announce the key posts, for the establishment of PMU. However, the initiative has taken to set a timeline for completing the recruitment process in the shortest possible time.
The meeting informed that the proposed “Gandhara Valley City” covering an area of ??108000 kanals would have residential and commercial sections besides media enclave and provincial secretariat etc. and state-of-the-art civic amenities would be available in the city.
